Scientists in Bali turn wine into sanitisers amid COVID-19 crisis

Scientists in Bali, the popular holiday destination in Indonesia, have used locally produced fermented palm wine 'arak' to make hand sanitisers to overcome a shortage amid the coronavirus pandemic. "We've produced 10,600 bottles of sanitiser using arak and Bali police have given them out to people in need," Dewa Ayu Swastini, head of pharmaceutical faculty at Bali's Udayana University, said.
