Scientists Locate Missing World War II Pilot After Eight Decades

World War II pilot Gilbert Haldeen Myers has been located eight decades after his plane crashed, using DNA analysis. He was a part of a crew of six on board a bomber. No crew member survived the crash. Myers was declared missing in action since his remains were never found. Scientists at Cranfield University located his remains in October 2023.
