Scientists say black hole physics could be linked to prime numbers

Researchers have found that formulas based on prime numbers can describe features of black holes. At the centre of black holes lie single points called "singularities" where gravity must be infinite. In the 1960s, physicists found that immediately surrounding the "singularity" was a type of chaos which looked similar to a kind of chaos recently found in the primes.
