SCO consensus driven: MEA amid reports of India blocking Turkey's membership

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is a consensus driven alliance that collectively decides on membership issues. This comes after several reports claimed that India is blocking Turkey's SCO membership because of Ankara's close ties with Pakistan. Notably, Turkey has been a dialogue partner in the SCO since 2013.
