Sculptor of collapsed Shivaji statue arrested after his wife tips off police

Sculptor Jaydeep Apte, who built the 35-foot-tall statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot Fort, that had collapsed, was arrested from Kalyan. Apte had been evading authorities as seven police teams tracked his movements. He had contacted his wife, informing her of his intention to return home. She shared this information with police, leading to his arrest near his house.
