Seafarers' body writes to UN chief over Indian seafarers' killing, seeks justice

Forward Seamen's Union of India has written to UN chief Antonio Guterres seeking an independent probe into the deaths of four Indian seafarers allegedly linked to US military actions and conflict-related disruptions in the Gulf. The body has called for accountability, justice, and compensation of $5 million for each affected family. "Seafarers are civilians, not casualties of conflict," it said.
