Search launched for ex-DSP Jaspal Singh convicted for Khalra's murder amid 'Satluj' row

Amid controversy over Diljit Dosanjh's movie 'Satluj', the Nabha Open Agricultural Jail has asked Hoshiarpur Police to search for ex-DSP Jaspal Singh, who was convicted for activist Jaswant Singh Khalra's murder. Singh, who was the senior-most police officer convicted in the case, was serving a life sentence. He was released in May 2023 on a surety of ₹1 lakh.
