Search startup Perplexity AI turns unicorn with $63 million fundraise

American search startup Perplexity AI, co-founded by IIT Madras alumnus Aravind Srinivas, has achieved unicorn status after raising $63 million, Bloomberg reported. The round doubles Perplexity's valuation from just three months ago, when it raised $73.6 million. The new round was led by investor Daniel Gross and saw participation from billionaires Stanley Druckenmiller and Jeff Bezos and NVIDIA.
