SEBI allows BSE to launch derivatives on BSE Focused Midcap index

BSE has received regulatory approval from market watchdog SEBI to introduce derivative contracts on the BSE Focused Midcap Index. The newly created index measures the performance of the top 20 constituents based on free-float market capitalisation from BSE MidCap 150. Following SEBI approval, the exchange will offer cash-settled monthly index futures and monthly index options on the new index.
