SEBI bans futures trading in 7 agricultural commodities for one year

Markets regulator SEBI on Monday barred futures trading in five more commodities - paddy (non-basmati), wheat, soybean and its derivatives, crude palm oil and moong - for one year. The derivative contracts in chana, and mustard seeds and its derivatives, had already been suspended. This comes amid the retail inflation surging to a three-month-high of 4.91% in November 2021.
