SEBI eases market data rules for educators, sets 30-day delay norm

SEBI has revised rules for sharing and using stock market price data for educational purposes, replacing earlier restrictions with a uniform 30-day delay requirement. The new framework will take effect on July 1, 2026. Earlier, exchanges and intermediaries could share data with a one-day delay, while educational entities were later restricted to data that was at least three months old.
