SEBI fines BSE ₹25 lakh for unequal data access, oversight failures

SEBI imposed a ₹25-lakh penalty on BSE for flouting regulatory norms. It was imposed for failing to provide equal access to corporate disclosures to all stakeholders and take action against brokers with frequent modifications during trades. BSE's system allowed paid clients and internal listing compliance monitoring team to access corporate announcements before they were made public, SEBI found.
