SEBI may allow fund managers to launch mutual fund-only portfolios
SEBI has proposed changes to India's portfolio management rules, including a new Mutual Fund-only Portfolio Management Service (MF-PMS). The proposal would halve the minimum investment to ₹25 lakh and reduce the net worth requirement for MF-PMS providers to ₹2 crore. It also seeks to widen investment options and lower entry barriers to expand the wealth management market.
