SEBI proposes easing compliance norms for research analysts

SEBI has proposed easing compliance norms for research analysts by exempting them from maintaining call recordings of interactions with institutional investors. Currently, analysts and research entities must preserve records of all client communications, including calls, emails, and messages. These records are required to be retained for five years or longer in case of disputes.
