SEBI proposes raising debt securities maturity limit from 14 to 17

SEBI has proposed raising the limit on debt securities an issuer can have maturing in a financial year from 14 to 17. The regulator said ISIN restrictions can bunch liabilities, complicating liquidity management and increasing refinancing risks for NBFCs. Experts said additional ISINs could help issuers to spread out borrowings and maturities, improving cash-flow management.
