SEBI revises rules for Basic Services Demat Account

Market watchdog SEBI excluded Zero Coupon Zero Principal (ZCZP) bonds and delisted securities while calculating the value threshold for Basic Services Demat Account (BSDA) eligibility. The move aims to provide ease of doing business to the depository participants (DPs) and ease of doing investments for the investors. Due to this exclusion, the charges for BSDA may come down.
