SEBI uses flight bookings, hotel stays & food orders to crack ₹144-cr stock scam

SEBI uncovered an alleged ₹143.79 crore pump-and-dump scam and barred 221 entities for manipulating the prices of five small-cap stocks between 2017 and 2020. SEBI traced airline ticket bookings, hotel stays, food orders, WhatsApp chats and other digital footprints to crack the network. These clues helped establish links between the accused and examine how they worked in a coordinated manner.
