SEC sues Elon Musk for fraud, seeks to remove him from Tesla

The US Securities and Exchange Commission has sued Tesla CEO Elon Musk for fraud and sought to remove him from the public electric car company. Musk made a series of "false and misleading" tweets about taking Tesla private, the securities regulator said Thursday. Musk claimed funding was secured but later cancelled his plans to take Tesla private over investor resistance.
