Second phase of Kerala local body polls begins amid tight security

Polling for the second phase of Kerala state’s local body general elections began at 7 am on Thursday, 11 December. This was with over 1.53 crore voters expected to exercise their franchise across seven districts. The polling took place amid heightened security and close monitoring by the State Election Commission.
