Sena leader seen assaulting woman doctor, hospital staff in Maha; staff go on strike

Doctors and medical staff at KDMC Shastrinagar Hospital in Mumbai's Kalyan boycotted non-emergency services after Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre allegedly assaulted a woman doctor, nurses and a gynaecologist following dispute over a pregnant patient's referral. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) condemned the attack and demanded strict action. Following the assault, police registered an FIR.
