Senior citizens in UP may get affordable rental homes in cities, govt planning scheme

The Uttar Pradesh government is planning to bring a scheme under which senior citizens in the state may soon get affordable rental homes in cities. The state government has formed a high-level committee to formulate a rental housing policy for senior citizens. The committee includes officials from Lucknow, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Varanasi and Meerut. The move comes before state Assembly elections.
