Senior Maoist leader with ₹20 lakh bounty surrenders in Telangana

A 60-year-old senior Maoist leader Kakarla Samatha surrendered before the Telangana police after remaining underground for over four decades. Samatha, who carried a reward of ₹20 lakh on her head, will now be given the amount with ₹25,000 as immediate relief. She had served in key positions in the outlawed organisation across different states after joining it in 1985.
