Market indices Sensex and Nifty closed in green on the last day of the year 2025. Sensex jumped over 540 points to reach 85,220 on New Year's Eve, marking a rise of 8.9% since the beginning of the year. Meanwhile, Nifty also surged to end above the 26,100-mark, rising 10.5% over the past year.
