Sensex, Nifty fall after Trump's ultimatum to Iran

Indian benchmark indices fell on Monday after US President Donald Trump extended his deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz until Tuesday, 8:00 pm EST (Wednesday, 5:30 am IST). The BSE Sensex dropped 502.85 points to 72,816.70, while Nifty fell 132.55 points to 22,580.55 at 9:54 am. Reliance Industries and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries were among the top losers.
