Sensex, Nifty open higher despite Trump's 15% temporary tariff

Sensex jumped 670 points to 83,486.15 in early trade on Monday after US Supreme Court struck down most of President Donald Trump's tariffs, following which he imposed a 15% temporary tariff. Nifty jumped 209 points to 25,771.45. Six of the 19 major sectoral indices logged losses in early trade, while small-cap and multi-cap indices led gains among broad market indices.
