Sensex, Nifty rise as RBI keeps repo rate unchanged at 6.5%

Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty jumped on Wednesday after RBI announced that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has decided to keep repo rate unchanged at 6.50% for the tenth time in a row. Sensex rose over 500 points to hit 82,191.78, while Nifty gained around 180 points to hit 25,190.35.
