Sensex crashes over 1,000 points from day's high, Nifty falls before 25,600-mark

Sensex crashed over 1,000 points from the day's high to 82,864.29 intraday, while Nifty fell below the key level of 25,600 on Thursday. This comes as domestic markets witnessed profit booking after it rose for three consecutive days and amid rising crude oil prices due to tensions between US and Iran. Infosys and TCS were among the gainers on BSE.
