₹9 lakh crore wealth wiped out after Sensex & Nifty fall over 1%

Equity benchmarks tumbled over 1% on Friday, eroding investor wealth by over ₹9 lakh crore amid global trade war fears following the announcement of reciprocal tariffs by US, Moneycontrol reported. Sensex slumped 930.67 points to end at 75,364.69 while Nifty closed 345.65 points lower at 22,904.45 on Friday. The US has announced reciprocal tariffs on global trade partners, including India.
