Sensex crashes over 1,500 points amid Middle East war

Sensex dipped more than 1,500 points to 72,977.34 in the early morning trade on Monday, while Nifty also fell to open at 22,824.35. All stocks on the Sensex traded in the red, with Tata Steel leading the losses. The decline comes amid escalating Middle East war, conflict around the Strait of Hormuz and a weakening rupee against the dollar.
