Sensex dips 730 points, Nifty down 1% in early trade as rupee breaches 87 mark for 1st time
Indian rupee fell below 87 against US dollar for first time ever on Monday. With this, Sensex dipped over 730 points to 76,774.05 while Nifty was down over 1% to 23,239.15. This comes days after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced Union Budget 2025 and US President Donald Trump imposed 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico and 10% tariffs on China.
