Sensex drops 610 points, Nifty fails to hold 26,000 mark

Sensex was down 609.68 points to 85,102.69 while Nifty fell 225.90 points to 25,960.55 on Monday, with 47 out of 50 sectors closing in red. Further, BSE-listed companies collectively erased nearly ₹7 lakh crore in market capitalisation, reported CNBC-TV18. Tech Mahindra was the biggest gainer with 1.22% increase, while IndiGo plummeted 8.62% amid massive flight cancellations.
