Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty rebounded on Wednesday, with the Sensex rising about 1,200 points to close at 73,134.32 and the Nifty gaining 348 points to settle at 22,679.40. Investors added nearly ₹10 lakh crore in wealth as the total market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms climbed to ₹422 lakh crore. The rally follows two consecutive sessions of sharp declines.
