Sensex closes at 7-month high of 82,530 after rising 1,200 points

Indian benchmarks Sensex and Nifty jumped over 1% each on Thursday. Sensex closed at a seven-month high of 82,530 after rising 1,200 points on Thursday. Meanwhile, Nifty jumped 1.60% to end above 25,000. Tata Motors emerged as the top gainer on the Sensex with an over 4% jump, followed by HCL Tech, Eternal and Adani Ports.
