Benchmark indices ended in the green on Friday, with Sensex surging 918 points to 77,550.25 and Nifty rising 275 points to 24,050.6. The gains come a day after both indices posted losses amid concerns over the viability of the two-week ceasefire between Iran and the US. Asian Paints and ICICI Bank were among the top gainers on Sensex.
