Sensex ends at record high of 58,723, Nifty at 17,519 after telecom relief measures

The Sensex ended at a new lifetime high of 58,723.20 while Nifty rose 139.45 points to record 17,519.45 after the government on Wednesday announced relief measures for the telecom sector. The government announced a four-year moratorium on telecom dues starting from October 1. The Cabinet also approved a ₹26,058 crore production-linked incentive scheme for auto, auto-components & drone industries.
