Sensex ends over 850 points lower, Nifty slips below 24,200

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty 50 ended the trading session in red on Thursday. At close, BSE Sensex was 852.49 points down at 77,664, while Nifty 50 was 205 points lower at 24,173. Shares of Trent and Tech Mahindra were the biggest losers on BSE, while shares of Adani Ports and Larsen & Toubro gained despite the broad market selloff.
