Sensex falls 520 points, Nifty down 137 as Iran war weighs on sentiment
Indian benchmark indices opened lower on Monday, with the Sensex falling 520 points to 77,490 and the Nifty declining 137 points to 24,229. The weak opening extended last week's cautious mood as uncertainty over the Iran war continued to weigh on sentiment. Brent crude rose 0.5% to around $89 a barrel, keeping pressure on markets.
