Sensex falls over 600 points from day's high to end in red

Sensex fell 632.37 points after jumping 471.64 points to reach an intraday high of 75,870.36 in early trade. The benchmark index fell 160.73 points to end at 75,237.99, as the Indian Rupee breached the 96 mark against the US dollar. Nifty 50 also ended in red, falling around 200 points from the day's high to close at 23,643.50.
