Sensex jumps 1,133 points, Nifty above 24,000 at open
Indian benchmark indices opened sharply higher on Wednesday, rebounding from the previous session's decline. BSE Sensex opened 1,133.53 points, or 1.5%, higher, while Nifty started the trading session at 24,163.80. Easing crude oil prices and US-Iran talks boosted investors' sentiments. All major sectoral indices traded in the green, led by realty, consumer durables, IT, metals and PSU banks.
