Sensex jumps 500 points as market rises for 2nd straight week

Sensex jumped over 500 points to 77,418 in early trade on Monday, while Nifty rose above the 23,500 level. This marks the second consecutive week in which the market climbed after seeing a downturn for weeks. Kotak Mahindra Bank, PowerGrid and Larsen & Toubro were among the top contributors to the Sensex's jump.
