Sensex opened 700 points higher at 79,889 on Monday, while Nifty soared by 0.7% to reach above 24,200. The indices have ended in red in the past two trading sessions. The major driving factor behind the resilience of the market is the sustained buying by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), which has amounted to ₹32,465 crore over the past eight sessions.
