Sensex records longest weekly losing streak in 25 years

Sensex on Thursday recorded its eighth straight weekly loss, its longest weekly losing streak in 25 years. The benchmark index fell around 1,200 points intraday before recovering slightly to end 570 points lower at 71,909.70. Record foreign fund outflows, crude oil prices above $100 a barrel and rising global yields weighed on investor sentiment.
