The Indian benchmark indices opened higher on Friday after four days of decline, with the Sensex at 85,020.75, up 538.94 points, and Nifty at 25,964.65, up 149.10 points, at 11:00 am. Bharat Electronics, Max Healthcare Institute and Reliance Industries were the top gainers on the Nifty 50, while Shriram Finance, HCL Technologies and Coal India were among the top losers.
