Sensex shot up over 1,000 points on Thursday and was trading at 81,985.34 at the time of writing, while Nifty was up nearly 300 points at 24,761.85 ahead of RBI's policy review scheduled for Friday. Titan Company, Infosys, TCS, Bajaj Finance and Bharti Airtel were among the top Sensex gainers while Dr Reddys Labs and Wipro were top Nifty gainers.
