Sensex surges 1,000 points from day's low, Nifty above 23,600

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty staged a recovery on Monday after hitting intraday lows of 74,180.26 and 23,317.10, respectively. At around 1:12 pm, Sensex was down 0.06% at 75,190.11, while Nifty declined 0.16% to 23,606.75. Sensex rose around 1,000 points from the day's low as value buying emerged at lower levels, according to Moneycontrol.
