Sensex surges over 650 points at open, Nifty above 24,200

Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty opened in green on Wednesday. The BSE Sensex surged over 650 points to a high of 77,675.01 while the Nifty 50 rose to the 24,200-mark in early trading. The rise in Indian stock market comes amid a decline in oil prices after US President Donald Trump signalled a possible breakthrough in talks with Iran.
