Sensex tanks 1,000 points at open amid ongoing Middle East war
The Sensex plunged more than 1,000 points to open at 72,565.22 on Monday, while the Nifty fell over 1% to 22,549.65. Both benchmark indices have declined by more than 9% over the past month. The slide comes amid the ongoing Middle East war, weak global cues, rising crude oil prices and the rupee nearing 95 against the US dollar.
