Sensex tanks 700 points amid Donald Trump's 500% tariff threat

Sensex plunged over 700 points intraday on Thursday to 84,241.4 after US President Donald Trump backed a bill proposing up to 500% tariffs on countries buying Russian oil. Nifty also slipped by 0.9% to 25,894.15. "This bill would give President Trump tremendous leverage against countries like China, India and Brazil," Senator Lindsey Graham said.
