Separatist Parti Quebecois wins Quebec election, falls short of majority
Quebec's separatist Parti Quebecois (PQ), led by Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, won nearly 60 of 127 seats in Monday's provincial election, short of the 64 needed for majority. The PQ pledged an independence referendum but ruled it out while US President Donald Trump is in office. The minority government will need opposition support to govern.
