Serbian survivor of 10,000-metre fall from plane dies at 66
Serbian-national Vesna Vulović, who survived a record 10,000-metre fall without a parachute after a plane exploded mid-air in 1972, has died aged 66. She was a flight attendant on a Yugoslav Airlines plane which blew up over the snow-laden mountains of what was then Czechoslovakia. Vulović was rescued by a woodsman who followed her screams in the mountains.
